How To Make Chocolate Chip Banana Bread

The recipe method and ingredients made this bread so simple, which makes this a great breakfast option.


2 cups rolled oats

1 tbsp baking soda

1/2 tbsp salt

3 ripe bananas

1/4 cup raw honey or maple syrup

2 large eggs

Cinnamon, vanilla, and nuts optional

2 tbsp melted ghee, butter, or oil

1/4 cup chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 350 degrees and line an 8×4 inch loaf pan. Place the oats and baking soda in a blender and process until you get a flour-like consistency. Add in the remaining ingredients, (try adding 1/2 tsp cinnamon, and 1/2 vanilla bean extract, not compulsory), except for the chocolate chips, and pulse for about a minute or more.

It is good to stop halfway and scrape down the sides of the blender with a rubber spatula. Stir in the chocolate chips, then pour the mixture into your loaf pan.

If you want, you can sprinkle a few more chocolate chips and set 1/2 of the sliced banana on top of the bread as shown to make it look pretty. Dark chocolate chips with high cacao percentages are the best.

For the sweetener, you can replace sugar with stevia (optional), also adding chopped walnuts or pecans goes great too.

Bake for 35-45 minutes in your preheated oven or until a toothpick inserted in the center of the loaf comes out clean.

Allow bread to cool on a rack, then slice and serve.
