How To Make Pizza Stuffed Mushrooms

If you are looking for something fun to do this weekend, this gluten-free snack is a great recipe. It is very healthy and super low carb.

Ingredients for 4 servings.

8 medium-large mushroom caps, stem removed.

1/2 cup low-sugar marinara sauce.

1/2 tsp each of garlic, dry Italian seasoning, and sea salt.

1/2 cup shredded high-quality mozzarella.

Nitrate-free pepperoni slices.

Fresh chopped parsley or basil leaves.

How To Make Pizza Stuffed Mushrooms

Instructions.

Preheat oven to 375 F.

In a large oven-proof cast iron or flat-rimmed sheet pan, lay out mushrooms upside down as shown in the pic above.

Fill each mushroom cap with about a tablespoon of marinara sauce, and sprinkle with garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and sea salt. Sprinkle the mozzarella as well.

Top each with pepperoni if desired, and bake until cheese is melty, for about 15-20 minutes.

Sprinkle with fresh chopped parsley or basil leaf.
