Bacon Wrapped Cheese Stuffed Dates.

These are really easy and fun to make, perfect holiday appetizer that disappears quick.

Any soft cheese works perfectly.

Ingredients for 6 servings.

3.5 oz goat cheese or any soft cheese

1/2 tsp garlic salt

12 Medjool dates

6 thin-cut of nitrate-free bacon, cut in half to create 12 pieces.

Freshly chopped chives, to garnish

Freshly ground black pepper, to taste.


Preheat your oven to 375 F, line baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a small bowl, stir together the cheese with garlic salt.

Cut a lengthwise slit in the dates and open then up, then remove and discard the pit.

Stuff each date with about 2 tsp of your cheese mixture, pinch dates to close.

Now wrap each date with a bacon strip, as indicated in the picture.

Place all the dates onto the prepared sheet as shown and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until bacon is brown and crisp. Turning the date halfway through to ensure even browning.

Serve your bacon-wrapped dates warm, garnish with chopped chives and freshly ground black pepper.
